Sales Tips, useful and informational

Taken from WIKIHOW.COM Credits to its authors
In sales, creating a sense of urgency gives the prospect a reason to buy now, instead of waiting. These simple tips can help you close more sales.

1
Push the prospect's "pain" button. Find out what their problem is (because your whole job as a sales professional is to solve people's problems, ideally by offering your product or service as a solution) and ask if they can really afford to endure that problem any longer.

2
Make an irresistible offer. You can create a sense of urgency by making an offer that will not last, and this can provide the incentive your prospect needs to take action today.

3
Take advantage of current conditions. For example, the end of the year is a great time to remind business owners that their purchase may be tax-deductible (if that is in fact true).

Tips

  • Get creative. You can offer something “extra” to your clients if it helps you close a deal. That might include something you provide on your own expense: treating them for lunch, giving a nominal gift card, a tank of gas, etc.

  • Listen for your prospect's pain button – high employee turnover, the need for speed, expensive customer returns, etc. – then show them how your product or service can satisfy their need and remove their pain.

  • In some cases, the company may create the incentive (limited time offer, one-time-only offer, limited quantity available, bonuses available now, buy one get one free, free or discounted shipping today, operators are standing by, refer a friend today and get something extra, etc.)

Warnings

  • Be careful to phrase your recommendation in such a way that you are not giving advice that you’re not qualified to give! Business owners and operators should always be advised to check with their accounting professionals for specifics with regards to tax laws.

  • If you personally offer an incentive, be careful that you:
  1. are offering a mere token to “sweeten the deal”
  2. are not crossing into any moral or ethical “gray areas”
  3. are offering a gift or incentive that makes sense (preferably related to the sale itself, and a cost to you that is minor in comparison to your commission from the sale)
  4. are not breaking any laws or codes of ethics
  5. are able to deliver what you promise (for example, don’t promise something that is out of your control, such as expedited delivery or additional features at no cost)
  6. are in compliance with your company’s policies and procedures (ask your employer if you’re not certain)

Heart over Head or Head over Heart? What type are you?

For me, I think I am a heart over head kind of person. I know it has a lot of risks and seldomly do I decide head over heart. I mean, how will you know how to love if you are not willing to take the risk? right? Anyways, If it comes down to something critical. I choose heart still, I'll bet everything I have knowing that it may hurt me in many different ways but what if?! what if the outcome though is gloriously, deliriously enchanting. You know, it is hard indeed but I would stake my heart on it that the goal far outweighs the cost if you benefit from it. To love is to get hurt, it is a reality and it is a fact. There will never be a perfect relationship but in the process of getting hurt you will know that you have learned to love deeply, passionately and that the understanding goes beyond infinity. Nonetheless, it is risky but I'd rather die knowing that I have done my best loving than not finding out how it feels to love someone deeply leaving me with an abyss that I would not be able to fathom or reason out why. I guess I am still a romantic at heart. tee hee:)

U.S. HealthCare and Educational System

from >> Michael Moore's DOCUMENTARY shown in STAR MOVIES:

www.michaelmoore.com

I just learned that the U.S. has the worst HEALTH CARE and EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM EVER.. well perhaps not the bottom but like 2nd to the bottom.

Countries like Canada, France, Britain and surprisingly CUBA has FREE HEALTH CARE and some of them gives you free education up to college( get that COLLEGE!!!) . You do not wait for hours and you never get rejected.. you will never get kicked out because you could not pay your hospital bills.

London hospitals even reimburses you for the money you spent for your travel to and fro within their city..

France sends out 24-hour on call DOCTORS and you don't get charge for the doctor and their assistance. They even send out someone to take care of your child for some period, I mean literally take care of em and would also COOK AND DO LAUNDRY for the mother when asked nicely.

CUBA.. man.. i could not believe, so many lies has been told about the country but yet they gave the best hospital treatment for some 9/11 heroes who came to one of their hospitals, gave free medicine and also gave out REAL HEALTH TREATMENT PLANS.

TO TOP IT ALL OFF.. ALL WAS ALMOST EITHER TOTALLY FREE OR VERY, VERY, VERY almost to the point that it can really be considered almost free.

Oh by the way, all these are professionals and certified physicians and alike.

People in this countries get what you can from the U.S. at a much higher standard, they get treated like real people and they get proper respect.

No wonder a lot of countries HATE THE U.S. NO WONDER!

P.S.

This is my two cents worth, it's up to you to believe it or not.. please pass it on so that the one who does not know about these will be made aware. Please! Thank you!

AXN - The Amazing Race 3 - Asia

I have been watching this series for a couple of times already and I'm impressed that there is not much animosity in between teams, it just goes to show that they are all pretty smart people though they are quite very emotional. They are thinkers as well, they think with their heads which is how it is supposed to be. Man, I like the pair Ida Nerina, 44, and her best friend Tania Khan, 36... they're kind-hearted and loyalty never failed to amaze me. Currently, they are the last team to arrive and I am wishing them the best. I know that they may not really make it but I would love to see those two win this race.

One of life's best quotes that I have ever read

"I love my past. I love my present. I'm not ashamed of what I've had, and I'm not sad because I have it no longer. Life is just a chance to grow a soul and in the end, it's not the years in your life that counts. It's the life in your years."

What's your take on this? I really like this one, it makes so much sense.

A new ERA

I will start this by writing it without any embellishments.

Life has been difficult and rocky to travel on. People say you would have to move on for there is no better way but looking forward for a better future, I had a very rude awakening, not today but almost like a year ago and now I have decided that it is time, some ONE told me it is very much indeed TIME already. Thanks to you, you know who you are. This is a compliment, please do not misunderstand. I mean no harm by it.

I would not be able to turn back time and correct the mistakes i’ve made though I would give anything to be able to do it and so I humbly ask for forgiveness for any transgressions I have made. I willl pray that we be blessed to succeed, we be blessed to be better humans, we be blessed to be able to love.

Quite a very short statement which I hope sends the message already.
